Introducing the 2025 Creative Dream Team:

COACHING TEAM

Nicholas is the founder of Art2Life, a platform that helps people discover and ignite their art using a new approach to creativity and life.

He is also a practicing fine artist. His paintings are seen in yearly gallery exhibitions, International Art Fairs, and are included in numerous private and corporate collections in the United States and Europe.

Nicholas speaks and writes extensively on the process of creativity, inspiration, and purpose in art and life.

Creating captivating artwork alive with vibrant hues and rich texture, Nadine Johnson channels delight and sentimentality in her paintings. The Calgary-based artist, was nurtured within a family of Lebanese, Ukrainian, Scottish, and English origins, where artistry flowed through their veins. Drawing inspiration from her multicultural heritage, Johnson’s intuitive approach to abstract painting embodies the essence of family, community, and connection. Nadine is a CVP alumnus and member of the Art2life coaching team.

Insa is an artist from Germany. Her work is based on classical painting techniques with a preference for realism – but she also works with abstraction to develop pictorial spaces using form and color. Insa helps others find their artistic voice by teaching them the basics of craftsmanship and design, as well as promoting an awareness of the benefits of playful learning and the harnessing of intuition.

Insa is a guest coach with Art2Life.

Amy Brakeman Livezey is a figurative artist. She began as a filmmaker but later followed the call to paint. Her paintings are explorations of history using paint, photographic finds, pieces of paper old and new, and a variety of tools to build up and then mine the images for a fresh look at the past. Layers and abstraction serve as an homage to the complexity of this endeavor – the chaos of the moment and our ever-changing cultural perspectives.

Amy is a CVP alumnus and a member of the Art2Life coaching team.

Kate is an English landscape painter, primarily inspired by colour, light and a feeling of space. She sketches plein air and then works in her studio to create evocative paintings with a strong sense of place that go beyond obvious observation. Kate embraces balancing abstraction with representation using a variety of medium.

Kate is a graduate of Edinburgh College of Art and also trained at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Strasbourg and Central St Martins in London.  Kate is a CVP alumnus and a member of the Art2Life coaching team.

Szot (b. 1976) has exhibited his work in many galleries across the United States from New York to Los Angeles and Texas. Szot’s paintings have been exhibited in the Saatchi Gallery in London and, in 2014, the artist was invited to participate in the Whitney Museum Art Party. His work is in public collections, including Credit Suisse, and numerous private collections, such as Beth DeWoody and the Bass Family.

The artist currently lives and works in New York City and Los Angeles.

Marjorie was a jewelry artist for 10 years before returning to painting in 2011. She has found expression in her artwork through several mediums including encaustic, oil and cold wax and most recently acrylic painting. Her work has always been inspired by nature: organic forms, currents, flow, cycles, seasons, land, water, sky, and the living things that dwell in those spaces. It is about color, line, texture, nature – seeing the world from a different perspective and finding the sweet spot that lies between abstraction and realism. Marjorie is a CVP alumnus and member of the Art2Life coaching team.

Channels the power of design to bring art into the everyday experience. We use curiosity and big ideas to bring new concepts into vivid reality, help challenger brands become bold leaders, and ensure industry leaders stay vital and current. We work with joy because why wouldn’t we? It makes the process more fun and it absolutely makes the work better.

Bonny is a North Yorkshire based, globally renowned coloured pencil artist, specialising in creating realistic pet portraits.

As a proud mum to three very lovely (and sometimes very naughty) dogs and one very calm cat, she knows how important our pets are to us.

She wants to help other pet lovers around the world remember their much-loved animals forever, with a lifelike portrait that can be kept and cherished for years to come.

Doug Hammett is an artist and performer whose work thrives on spontaneity and discovery. Born in Pasadena, CA, he holds a BFA from the University of Redlands and an MFA from Art Center College of Design. His creative process is guided by intuition, allowing abstract forms to evolve into magical creatures, vivid narratives, and immersive theatrical experiences. Whether painting, illustrating, or performing, Doug embraces the unknown, trusting that each piece will reveal itself over time.

His projects, such as the book “How Color Created the World” and the tarot deck “Journey of the Bearded Tarot,” exemplify his organic approach to storytelling. In theater, Doug lets costumes, props, and improvisation shape his performances, crafting dreamlike, psychologically charged narratives. His work balances logic with intuition, inviting viewers into worlds that are both surprising and deeply engaging.

Brad Davis has been drawn to art since childhood, continuously finding new ways to express his creativity. His artistic journey led him to painting and assemblage sculpture, where he explores diverse mediums such as paint, paper, wood, and metal. Each piece he creates develops its own distinct style, shaped by his intuitive approach to materials and composition.

Inspired by nature, Davis incorporates the vibrant hues of reds, oranges, and yellows found in the natural world. The rich textures and organic forms of the landscape influence his work, allowing him to capture its beauty and dynamism in both painting and sculpture.

Her latest book, “How To Be Loving,” is available in multiple formats, alongside a companion journal. She’s also the author of “The Fire Starter Sessions,” “White Hot Truth,” and “The Desire Map,” and has produced numerous meditation kits and spiritual programs. I came into CVP tired of myself and of my work. Now everything is different. I am excited. I see nothing but possibility ahead.”

Questions

Yes! All lessons and calls are recorded, so you may listen and learn wherever convenient. And because you have access for a full year, you can go at a comfortable pace.

Yes, many of our alumni were showing in galleries before CVP. The price of your art, the number of sales, and the caliber of your galleries are all connected to your art’s strength, originality, and vibrancy. Over time, your art should steadily improve and therefore increase in sales and value. CVP will help ensure this process continues.

The Creative Visionary Program is perfectly suited for the beginner with little or no prior experience. All that is required is the interest and passion to improve and learn. The community of artists, as well as the CVP Team, is incredibly supportive of newcomers.

Many professional and working artists join CVP each year. Even if you have a formal art education, many artists do not have all the information they need to translate their “head” knowledge into their practice in an intuitive, personal way. Many working artists struggle to continue evolving their work, and CVP offers a clearer, more efficient path to making your best art yet.

You can be any kind of artist you want! The principles and ideas in this program relate to all kinds of art. It doesn’t matter whether your art is realistic, landscape painting, collage, sculpture, minimal color-field painting, abstract, or even photography… It all relates to the overarching principles taught in CVP.

These principles apply to any kind of art making. We have had photographers, collage artists, and even sculptors enroll in the Creative Visionary Program. In the program, we DO use acrylic paint, the simplest and fastest medium, to learn the principles. We recommend using acrylic–you will have proficiency in this medium at the end of twelve weeks. Many artists transfer the learning to their kind of art during and after the program. We also have a detailed materials list covering all the supplies you need.

The material has complexity and nuances and meets students where they are in their art journey. Beginners will learn different things compared to someone with many years of experience. We also have many beginners who return the next year to deepen their learning. The mixed levels of participants is intentional and adds to the program’s richness. Every artist, even the advanced, can learn from a beginner’s questions.

A big part of the Creative Visionary Program is identifying what inspires and makes you feel alive. It can be super challenging if you’ve lost track of this in your career, art, or life for too long.  Changing careers is not easy; however, doing something that brings you joy is a great motivator. Countless CVP alumni have been able to turn art into a full-time career.

Yes! We spend several weeks on “Risk & Soul,” which is all about finding your artistic voice. We help you re-align with whatever brings you joy and inspiration. When you make art you love, the natural outcome is your signature style. Figuring that out is what making art is all about! It is about you.

CVP works. We guarantee it.

You can try CVP for 3 weeks. 100% Risk-Free…

If you feel it is not the right time or a good fit for you, we’ll issue you a full refund.

No matter what the reason.

We only want those who are a HELL yes!

Class begins on March 20th, 2025!

We can’t believe they didn’t teach this in art school. Our alumni unanimously say this program is more valuable than their undergraduate or graduate art degrees. You will learn far more than just the technical skills required to be a successful artist.

“I was procrastinating … Now I’m exploring.”

“Before I started The Creative Visionary Program I was procrastinating because of my limiting beliefs.

Now I’m exploring and playing almost every day with whatever I have on hand—it might be working in my sketchbook or working on a painting. More joy in my work and life!”

TAMARA TRAXEL

“Before CVP, I felt lost.”

“Before The Creative Visionary Program, I felt lost. I was struggling to find my artistic voice. Through CVP, I not only discovered that voice but learned how to amplify it, which led to a profound shift in my work and my confidence. CVP not only enriched my art but propelled my career forward—enabling me to establish a studio, venture into teaching, and prepare for an upcoming gallery opening.”

NADINE JOHNSON

“Now, I try ideas that are ambitious.”

“Before CVP, I only did the work I thought I was ‘good enough’ to do. Now, I try ideas that are ambitious. I held myself back because I didn’t have self-confidence. I painted what other people thought I should paint. I thought there was a magic thing I needed to learn…

I was partially right, but it wasn’t a particular skill. Instead, I needed to learn to let go and paint for the love of painting. I learned that when a painting is ‘bad,’ it’s just not done yet!”

DENA HENGST

“I identify myself as a fine artist now.”

“Every time I painted I knew that this was what I wanted to do. Moving into being an artist is daunting. With CVP I could feel the learning curve and the acceleration of learning more than any other educational thing I’ve ever done. The program took me back to my roots when I was young as a kid. I identify myself as a fine artist now.”

GORDON STUDER

“I’m excited to think about how far I can take my practice.”

“My work since CVP has become stronger. I feel confident when I look at my newer work. I make bolder decisions, use more saturated colors, more layering, and I feel a freedom and joy that is indescribable when I’m working. I’m excited to think about how far I can take my practice—there are no limits. I plan on getting better and better and better! I love my life as an artist more now than ever.”
