Life Inside the Academy
The Art2Life Academy is a community of Art2Life Retreat and Creative Visionary Program alumni who are committed to making, selling, and promoting the art of their lives. By entering the academy, you move closer to turning your art into a life practice.
We’ll provide you with accountability, feedback, inspiration, and a steady stream of lessons and inspiring content. The Art2Life Coaches and I are inside the Academy daily, giving feedback, sharing insights, and discussing our artwork.
And because it is ONLY available to alumni like you, you’ll be entering into a community of people who are at your level, thinking the same way and talking the same Art2Life language. We only want people with that foundational knowledge who are fired up about their art.

In addition to the eight years of previously released content, we release Master Classes and Inspirational Interviews, conduct Live Art Critiques, and hold Community Calls each month.
Additional art-making sessions are also held throughout the month, and my team and I are constantly giving 1:1 feedback to Academy members.
Week 1
MONTHLY MASTER CLASSES
Lessons from an Art2Life coach or guest expert on everything from art techniques to business practices and personal growth.
Week 2
INSPIRATIONAL INTERVIEWS
Interviews with amazing artists, thought leaders, business coaches, and visionaries that have valuable information to share with the community.
Week 3
ART CRITIQUES
Live calls with a small group where we look at each other’s art and give feedback—all with the goal of making stronger and stronger art.
Week 4
COMMUNITY CALLS
Live calls with the entire community to talk about our art, share our progress and most importantly, get feedback from Nick, the coaches and the community.
The Academy has been running continually since 2016, and it’s been a truly amazing experience.
It is the core of Art2Life. It IS Art2Life. This is where we help people turn their art into a lifelong practice.
The Academy has improved every single year since we started it in 2016. Many of our members have stayed since the beginning. Throughout it all, we’ve built an incredible community and amassed an unbelievable amount of resources for artists of all kinds.
I’m really, really proud of how expansive the Academy has become, but I’m even more proud of all the art careers that have taken off. I do not know of any artist membership with such a high level of art. Now beginning its ninth year, it makes sense that we would see such progress.
The Academy is different from a Retreat…but it’s kind of the same. We’re still focused on the Art2Life Principles, making the art of our lives, and lifting each other up. It’s just a bit more relaxed. It’s a long view.
And since you have now completed a Retreat my relationship with you shifts slightly in the Academy… I still teach and give feedback to all of our members—as do all the Art2Life Coaches —but now I’m thinking of you more as a peer.
Everyone is helping everyone. And this goes for me, too. I am learning along with everyone else, and the Academy is the place where this occurs.

we’re doing here.
When you’re working alone, you really only have yourself to ask what might be the next best move in your art. Believe it or not, often you cannot objectively see your art. You just might not be the right person to ask.
We’ve all been there. You’ve been working on a piece for hours or days and then realize…you actually don’t like it so much anymore. Or you just get stuck. Or you can’t see it clearly.
Well, we have solved that problem in the Academy. Getting answers to your questions and personal feedback from myself or a coach, as well as your peers, is the number one reason why your art will continue to improve fast.

Each week starts with a prompt from the Art2Life Team. These are merely ideas, easy ways to get in motion. They are not mandatory, but based upon what we feel could be most helpful to the group as a whole. Seeing how others answer the same prompt will open your eyes to what is possible for you.
WEEKLY ART-MAKING SESSIONS
These scheduled sessions are about 60-80 minutes. and open to everyone. Simply bring whatever you are making and join us. Conversation, sharing and laughter encouraged!
