If you are arriving early, check your bags at the front desk and start to relax immediately. Nature, new friends and the Spa await.

We recommend flying into Lisbon International Airport (the airport code is LIS), as this is the closest airport to the workshop retreat. It is roughly a 1 hour 15 minute drive to the resort.

We recommend having around $300 – $350 (€250 – €300) for shopping, taxis to town, depending on your desire to explore, and staff tips. The local currency is the Euro, but more places accept US dollars. 

Essentials to pack are comfy clothes to paint and wander, bathing suits, warmth for the evenings, a sun hat for the beach and anything that makes you feel good and at home. Aprons for painting will be yours to keep.

Temperatures tend to be around 14-17C (about 60F) early in November so be sure to bring some sweaters and clothes to layer. Aprons for painting will be yours to keep.

All rooms have individual air-conditioning, and Wi-Fi is available throughout the property.

Meals: Meals will be served in Sema Porta, the hotel’s main restaurant.

Breakfast is served daily from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m. 

Lunch, morning, and afternoon coffee breaks will be offered daily.
Dinner is from 7:30 pm until 11:00 pm.

Sublime Comporta embraces a seasonal cuisine of communion and respect for nature. The Chef always uses regional products, working closely with local fishermen, farmers, and wineries, focusing on fresh and, whenever possible, organic products. Some of the ingredients that compose the menu come from their organic vegetable garden right in front of the restaurant, depending on what the land gives. From Comporta and Alentejo, traditions are rescued, and references are reinvented.

Please note that all shared accommodations are co-ed unless specified otherwise.

The fees above cover full room and board. They do not cover shuttle transportation between the airport and Sublime Comporta. Once you register for the Retreat, we will provide more details on booking the shuttle service for you at an additional cost. Retreat participants are responsible for incidentals not included in the above price.

Spaces are reserved for participants in the retreat. Please note that it is not suitable for individuals with limited or impaired mobility.

Yes! There will be time available if you would like to explore the beautiful town of Comporta.

Comporta is in Portugal’s Alentejo province. A magical, unspoiled place where one is able to experience all that is still authentic and genuine in Portugal – living with the locals and feeling the pace of “slow living”. Comporta is an area made up of eight small villages. The main village of Comporta is located approximately 20km from the hotel and has small shops, restaurants, a grocery store, and cafés. Carvalhal is the closest village (5km from the hotel). Here, you will find cafés, shops, and restaurants frequented mainly by the locals.

All retreat participants will receive their very own Art2Life Retreat Art Kit!

Your art kit includes a set of 21 Art2Life high quality fluid acrylic colors, gloss medium, twelve 12″ x 12″ panels, a set of 8 brushes in various sizes, a painting tray, tracing paper pad, sandpaper, steel wool, pencil, and a 2-pocket apron.While everything you need to make art is included in the kit, if you have special tools, favorite brushes or other art making supplies you’d like to bring, please feel free to do so.

One of the hallmarks of any Art2Life Retreat is the Art Kit. This kit is sent to every Art2Life Retreat attendee, and it contains everything you need to enjoy the retreat. If you are traveling to the retreat by plane, please note that your Art2Life Art Kit MUST be checked as luggage; you cannot carry it onto the plane. If there are art materials you would like to bring that are not included in the art kit, then we certainly encourage you to do so. The weight of the art kit is around 14 lbs.

Art Kits are typically sent out 1 to 2 months prior to the start of the retreat (US residents only). For those attending the retreat who do not reside in the United States, we will bring your art kit to the Retreat.
